How to use this Website. This site is setup to walk you through the steps to creating a lesson plan. It is divided into two sections: Lesson Planning and Resources. The first step is the Lesson Planning link. Clicking on this link will take you to a central page where all the links you will need to create a lesson plan are provided. The best way to start is to press the Ctrl key on your keyboard and then pressing the "N" key. This will open a duplicate window. You can then click on the "Lesson Plan Builders" link and start creating the lesson while still having the lesson planning window open. This will allow you to get resources from the links on this website while creating your lesson. There are many links in this website and many lesson plans on the Internet. The best suggestion is to find lessons or lesson ideas from the Michigan's K-12 Curriculum and Standards web page or SCOPE website. These lesson are pre-aligned to the Michigan Curriculum Framework. If these do not help, then you can look using one of the other links. Once the lesson has been created you can then go to the "Rubrics" link and create a rubric for your lesson, Rubistar is many teacher's favorite. Finally, you can use the "Assessments" link to create a printable or online test. Once you have created your lesson plan or if you already have a lesson, you can then go to the resources section. This section contains resources divided by grade and subject. There is also links to opportunities for online professional development. Finally, the "Miscellaneous Resources" link will take you to several resources that are great for you but don't fit into any one particular section. Please note that there are many links on these pages. We have tried to organize the links so that the first one will be the best one. If it isn't just click on the back button and try the next one. If all else fails, email me and I will try to answer your question. I hope you enjoy this site and as always let me know how we can improve this site so that it is useful to you. |
