I received my bachelors degree in 1998 from Grand Valley State University and my masters degree in Administration Leadership from Central Michigan University in 2001. I started teaching at Portland High School in 1999. I have taught 15 years of special education in the self-contained classroom and the remaining years in resource. At this time, I support the tenth grade special education resource students. I have been the Youth Advisory Council Advisor since 2006 and the Student Council Advisor since 2010. I participate with the Department of Education on writing and content for alternative testing for special needs students in the state of Michigan.
My husband, Dan, and I moved to Portland in 2004 to raise our family. I have two daughters, Darragh and Regan, who keep us very busy between school and their activities.
I plan to use Raider PRIDE to help all students be successful and reach their potential!
