Board of Education
In May of 2022 our School Board set a goal to complete a strategic plan for the district. A strategic plan serves as a roadmap for the district to follow over the next five years. Over a six month period the Board hosted eight meetings, sent out two surveys, and held a public hearing to discuss the needs of the district and the future direction for the district. On October 10th, 2022, the Board approved the 2022 - 2027 strategic plan. This plan will is a living document, serving as a guide for planning, resource allocation, staff development, and decision-making over the next several years.
The Board would like to thank all of the parents, community members, and staff for their input on this process. 314 people responded to our first survey and 201 responded to our second survey. Your responses were reviewed and discussed with the Board and supported the Board in their decision making for this plan. In the most recent survey, 89% of respondents rated the need for a strategic plan favorably (rating of 4 or 5). Individual Goal Focus Areas had a favorable rating between 85% and 88%. Most importantly, 79% of respondents rated favorably that they were encouraged by the direction the strategic plan will take the district and 76% rated that they were confident the district will make progress on the strategic plan priority objectives.
